Growing
spiritually is not about religion but relationships: Relationships with God
and each other. At First Baptist Church, it is our hope that everyone finds a
place where they can plug in and grow into spiritually mature followers of
Jesus.

Today, we
walk along side one another and learn as a community what it means to be
faithful to God. All kinds of different ways and means guide us to the goal of
Christ-likeness. Recognizing that each person is unique and located in a
different place in their walk with God, we strive to offer many different
learning opportunities—from Bible classes on Sunday mornings for all ages to
special topic based on Sunday nights and during the week.

Jesus worked
and moved in a world of people that found it hard to live with him. So much
so, that they took his life. One who chooses to follow in his footsteps these
days also finds that the Jesus-like life is something of an adjustment. There
are old, long-established habits and patterns we live by that must be broken
and rewritten. New practices must be learned and practiced. Jesus taught these
things by walking side by side with the folks who would carry-on his message.
We continue to walk with Jesus today.
